What is the "AUTO-SYNC" feature of Handheld Contact?

I see that Handheld Contact creates a separate '-Auto-Sync-HHC-(ACT! username)' group for each user on the ACT! database. Why does it do that?

The bottom line is: HHC makes sure you always see your ENTIRE calendar on your handheld, no matter which contact you schedule activities with!

HHC’s ‘Auto-Sync’ feature lets you rest assured that whenever you schedule an Activity with a contact in ACT! on your computer, that it will always be synced to your handheld, without you even thinking about it.

Here’s how it works:

  1. In ACT!, you schedule a new Call, Meeting, or To-Do with a contact that was not selected to sync to your Handheld.
  2. The HHC ACT! Plug-In software ‘sees’ that the new Activity and linked Contact(s) are not already being sent to your Handheld.
  3. Those Contact(s) are added into your 'Auto-Sync-HHC' Group.
  4. The next scheduled automatic sync now gives you:
    • your entire ACT! Calendar (with this new Call, Meeting, or To-Do)
    • the associated contacts(s) with their notes/histories
Now you are prepared for your day with your most up-to-date and complete ACT! calendar on your Handheld without even thinking about it!
