A user edits a contact "A" on the BlackBerry (during the same 15-minute time window) as a user in ACT! edits that same contact "A".
Only if the change was made to the same contact record at the same time, will this occur. The change on the BlackBerry will "over-write" the change made to the contact in ACT!.
THIS ONLY APPLIES TO MULTI-USER ACT! DATABASES.
THIS IS VERY RARE -- YOU NEED TO HAVE 2 USERS CHANGING THE EXACT SAME CONTACT RECORD, EXACT SAME NOTE, MEETING, CALL OR TO-DO AT ESSENTIALLY THE SAME TIME (WITHIN 15 MINUTES).
IF USERS ARE CHANGING DIFFERENT ITEMS FOR THE SAME CONTACT, THIS ISSUE DOES NOT APPLY (SYNC WORKS NORMALLY)
IGNORE THIS ISSUE IF YOU ARE A SINGLE USER OR ARE IN AN ACT! DATABASE WHERE YOU SHARE FEW OR NO CONTACTS WITH OTHER USERS.
Handheld Contact Desktop Edition supports syncing the entire record from the BlackBerry back to the ACT! database on which the Plug-In is installed. This means that if you edit "Address 1" for Contact "A" on the BlackBerry, while at the same time editing "Address 2" for Contact "A" in the Central ACT! database, then the "Address 1" change from the BlackBerry will "overwrite" the simultaneous "Address 2" change for Contact "A"
Note: The Upcoming "ENTERPRISE EDITION" Handheld Contact will support full field-level synchronization and is perfect for large multi-user ACT!, ACT! for Web and Wired-Contact Implementations.
