How many ACT! Contacts will a BlackBerry hold?

BlackBerry devices have limited memory and processing power compared to desktop and server computer. Our customers typically quickly find that the benefit of Handheld Contact and BlackBerry devices, is not the amount of data they can store, but the fact that their most important ACT! Calendar, Contacts and Notes are ALWAYS up-to-date. Something no other handheld ACT! solution can offer.

For BEST PERFORMANCE, limit ACT! contacts on a BlackBerry using Handheld Contact to:

  • 64MB BlackBerry - About 2,500 ACT! Contacts
  • 32MB BlackBerry - About 2,200 ACT! Contacts
  • 16MB BlackBerry - About 1,200 ACT! Contacts
  • 10MB BlackBerry - About 800 ACT! Contacts
  • 8mb BlackBerry - About 500 contacts
There is a Hard Limit of 2500 contacts. If this number is exceeded during the initial data send it will result in error. At this time you will be required to limit the number of Contacts being sent to not exceed the 2500 limitation.
