New Handheld Contact computer application release
April 20, 2010We're pleased to announce the release of our latest Handheld Contact computer applications for supported versions of ACT!.Please visit www.handheldcontact.com/downloads.php, select your version of ACT!, and run the 'Handheld Contact ACT! Computer Application' to upgrade to the latest version of Handheld Contact.
This release includes these changes:
- Updated how the computer application version is logged during each sync, improving application efficiency and technical support. Applies to machines running Microsoft Windows Vista and newer.
- Some Basic Edition accounts with all contacts added may have encountered delays downloading phone updates. Sync process has been updated, now correctly downloading all XML efficiently and eliminating delay in ACT! for updated information to appear.
- Improved installation process on computers missing the Microsoft Message Queuing service. While each Microsoft Windows environment is unique, the Handheld Contact computer application has been optimized enabling more users to experience seamless automatic installation of Message Queuing.
- In remote ACT! database environments some activities were not syncing due to an issue in the ACT! by Sage software. An update has been made to work around this issue and correctly access and sync ACT! activities.
- Under specific circumstances, Basic Edition accounts may have not synced activities. Corrected a profile issue that now correctly utilizes the auto sync group.
- Status reports have been repaired and are now sending according to the defined schedule.
- Handheld Contact Desktop Application 2.2.5.0 for ACT! 2010.
- Handheld Contact Desktop Application 2.1.20.1 for ACT! 2009, ACT! 2008, and ACT! 2007.
