How does Handheld Contact API syncing work?
The way that Handheld Contact API will sync with the hosted Act! the database is using the Act! API software tool. Handheld Contact API on the mobile device will use the internet connection available (Wi-Fi or mobile data) to interact with the Act! API software.
The 'Hosted Act! Service' will be located on the same PC/server where the main Act! database is found. This can be hosted in many ways; via Act! directly, via 3rd party hosting providers, or self-hosted.
